Here's a look back at all the amazing ways your support has helped make a difference at St Bon's in 2024-25!
Fundraising
It’s been another fantastic year of fundraising, which has enabled us to support the school in so many different ways.

In terms of new fundraising events this year, we were delighted to be able to run our first ever Wonderlicious event - a fun and engaging way to support the school’s focus on reading. It tied in perfectly with the school play, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and helped bring a bit of Roald Dahl magic to life for the children.
We also had a great turnout for another new event, the Spring Refresh evening. It was a real team effort, with support from local businesses and volunteers who helped make it such a success.
How we've supported
Scroll through the slides below for a snapshot of how we've supported St Bon's over the past year (also see our reel on Instagram).
One of the big highlights has been turning the area around the raised beds into a school garden. With a new greenhouse, planting troughs, and lots of interesting plants, it’s become a lovely space for the children to explore. We’ve loved seeing photos of them sketching and painting flowers, and using the gardening kits we funded to plant seeds as part of the Jubilee Year of Hope.
It’s been a real team effort to get the school garden looking good, and we couldn’t have done it without our parent volunteers - from helping lay the greenhouse foundations to giving up their Saturdays to keep the garden looking great. We really appreciate everything you’ve done.
More recently, we funded the installation of new play equipment and playground markings which are already getting lots of use and will hopefully be enjoyed for many years to come.
There have been lots of other ways we’ve supported too - from online safety workshops and Bristol Old Vic performances, to Year 6 leavers’ activities and the establishment of the pre-loved uniform shed. And we’re excited to share that we’ve just funded a brand new PA system, which will make a big difference at future school events!
Books have been a bit of a theme this year as well. We’ve spent £1,000 on new books for the library for World Book Day, added new display stands and bookends, and paid the renewal on the library subscription to keep the library equipment up to date. Most recently, each class got to choose more new books just for them - which we understand has gone down really well!
Goodbye!
As this term comes to an end, it’s time for me to say goodbye as PTFA Chair. It’s been such a privilege to be part of the St Bon’s PTFA - I’ve genuinely loved every minute and will really miss being involved.
I’m not the only one stepping down - a big shoutout and thanks to Siobhan Riordan, Sarah Shreeves, and Ellie Eakins, who are also finishing their time on the committee. Your support, energy, and contributions over the years have been amazing, and you’ll all be very much missed.
Please do get in touch if you’re interested in joining the committee from September - it’s a great way to support the school and meet other parents. We’re still looking for someone to take on the role of PTFA Chair from September - so if that might be you (or someone you know), please do get in touch.
Thank you for all your support over the past year for the St Bon’s PTFA. Have a fantastic end of term and a well-deserved summer break!
Best wishes
Helen
