Did you know that many companies throughout the UK offer to boost their employees' fundraising efforts by matching the money they raise?

Everything we do at the PTFA is geared towards enhancing the school experience for our kids, the school staff, and us as parents. By tapping into this opportunity, we could significantly increase the funds we raise for the benefit of the school and our children.
What is Match Funding?
Match Funding, also known as match giving, is a straightforward way to amplify the fundraising efforts of individual PTFA volunteers. It involves an informal arrangement between a company and an employee, where the company pledges to match the sums raised or donated by the employee to a charity. Though criteria such as the recipient organisation being a registered charity might apply, the benefits are substantial, sometimes including resources or services instead of direct monetary contributions.
Which organisations support Match Funding?
While providing a comprehensive list of companies offering match funding is challenging due to varying criteria and frequent scheme updates, many sectors are known for supporting match funding. These include banks, building societies, insurance companies, supermarkets, utilities providers, phone companies, and car manufacturers. Companies like Barclays and Aviva already have robust match funding schemes. For example, Barclays matches up to £750 per employee per year for three activities, while Aviva’s £Plus scheme allows employees to receive matched funds for any charity fundraising.
